3. Data we process
3.1 Server log data
When you visit the site, our hosting server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, referring page, browser type and operating system. Purpose: delivering the website, ensuring security and detecting misuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: deleted or anonymised after a maximum of 14 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.
3.2 Consent record
When you make a choice in our cookie banner, your choice and a timestamp are stored in your browser’s local storage. Purpose: remembering and proving your consent choice. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR). Retention: until you clear your browser data or change your choice. This record stays on your device and is not sent to us.
3.3 Optional preference and analytics storage
These categories are only activated with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive). At present, this website does not run any analytics tools. If we introduce one, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
3.4 When you contact us
If you email us, we process your email address, name and message to answer your request. Legal basis: legitimate interests in responding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). Retention: up to 12 months after the matter is closed, unless longer retention is required by law.
4. Recipients
We use a hosting provider that processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). We do not share personal data with ZoogVPN or any advertiser. We may disclose data where required by law.
5. International transfers
We aim to host and process data within the European Economic Area. If data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
- have data erased (Art. 17);
- restrict processing (Art. 18);
- data portability (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21);
- withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Use the “Cookie settings” button in the footer;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in your EU member state of residence.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
8. Children
This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
