General

What is ZoogVPN?

ZoogVPN is a VPN service that encrypts your internet connection and replaces your visible IP address with that of a VPN server. See About ZoogVPN for details.

Is a VPN legal to use?

In most countries, including EU member states, the UK and the US, using a VPN is legal. Some countries restrict VPN use. Activities that are illegal without a VPN remain illegal with one.

Does ZoogVPN keep logs?

The provider states a no-logs policy for browsing activity. For the exact data it processes (for example, account and payment data), read ZoogVPN’s own privacy policy on its official website.

How many devices can I use?

One account can be used on several devices at the same time. The exact limit depends on your plan and is shown by the provider when you choose a plan.

Will a VPN slow down my internet?

Some speed reduction is normal because traffic is encrypted and travels via a server. Choosing a nearby server and the WireGuard protocol usually gives the best speeds.

Is this the official ZoogVPN website?

No. This is an independent guide published by the company listed on our Company page. Account, billing and refund questions should go to ZoogVPN directly through its official website.

Troubleshooting on Windows

The app won’t connect
  1. Check that your normal internet connection works with the VPN off.
  2. Try a different server location.
  3. Switch protocol in Settings (for example from WireGuard to OpenVPN TCP).
  4. Turn on Zoog Shadowing if you’re on a restrictive network.
  5. Restart the app, then restart Windows.
Connection is slow
  1. Connect to a server geographically closer to you.
  2. Use WireGuard if your plan includes it.
  3. Close bandwidth-heavy apps such as cloud sync during testing.
  4. Compare speeds on a wired connection to rule out Wi-Fi issues.
Windows Firewall or antivirus blocks the VPN
  1. When Windows Defender Firewall asks, allow ZoogVPN on private and public networks.
  2. In your antivirus, add the ZoogVPN app to its trusted or allowed list.
  3. Make sure only one VPN app is active at a time. Two VPN apps can conflict.
No internet after disconnecting

The kill switch may still be blocking traffic. Open the app and either connect again or disconnect fully using the app’s own button (not by closing the window). If it continues, restart Windows.

Websites still show my real location
  1. Confirm the app shows “Connected”.
  2. Clear your browser cache and cookies, as sites may remember your previous location.
  3. Turn off browser location permission for that website.
How do I remove the app from Windows?

Open Settings › Apps, find ZoogVPN in the list, click the three-dot menu (Windows 11) or the entry (Windows 10) and choose the remove option. Removing the app does not cancel your subscription; manage that in your account on the provider’s website.

Plans & billing

Which plans exist?

ZoogVPN offers a limited starter plan and Premium subscriptions with more locations and features. See our Get started page for an overview.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by the provider under its own refund policy. Check the current terms on ZoogVPN’s official website before purchasing.

Still deciding?

Compare the plans and follow the quick start checklist.
